He nodded.

Charles: I understand. I'm not the healthiest of my brothers and sisters.  There's many days I can't get out of bed because of pain. I hate having to rely on others to do for me though.

He frowned a bit thinking about it.

Charles: That's true. Interesting.

He looked at her a bit shocked.

Charles: Even the fibromyalgia?

He grinned then gave her a big kiss.

Charles: Thank you.

He grinned at her.

Charles: The last of your tuition is payment for what you did for me. You don't realize how much pain I was in daily.

He smiled watching her.

Charles: You don't want me to tell the family that it was you. You would be smothered with gifts and attention. Especially from Grandmother and Father.

He smiled thinking about that.

Charles: Leave it to Dad to do that.

He smiled and nodded.

Charles: So am I. I owe you a lot now.

He leaned toward her and kissed her softly.

Charles: I owe you a lot.

He saw her blush and smiled softly.

Charles: Would you like me to stop?

His arm slid around her pulling her closer to him. He deepened the kiss with a soft moan. His free hand slid into her hair pulling her head back as his lips travelled over her throat then back up to her lips again.

He nodded and stood up stepping a few steps away.

Charles: Yes. I agree. We just met. I would hate to think of what people would say if I let you take advantage of me so soon.

He gave her a soft smile letting her know he was teasing her.

He gave her a soft kiss and moved to the door.

Charles: Good night, Temptress. I'll see you in the morning.

He went back to his room and smiled as he shut the door.

Charles: I'm going to marry that woman.

The next morning Charles was already at the table having breakfast when Tempest came down. He stood and smiled.

Charles: Good morning. I hope you slept well.

He smiled and sat his newspaper off to the side.

Charles: There is a buffet on the sideboard or you can have the cooks fix you something.

He smiled softly at her.

Charles: I slept very well. better than I have in many years.

He nodded.

Charles: I spoke with her this morning. She was pleased that I am feeling much better.

He looked at her a tad concerned.

Charles: How is your back?

He nodded.

Charles: Feel up to a ride in the golf cart today?

He smiled and stood.

Charles: I will meet you out front in ten minutes.

He went into his office to pick up some paperwork he needed then headed back out. He saw her standing there waiting.

Charles: You ready?

He walked out to the golf cart with her and helped her inside.

Charles: I have a little business to do at the vinard. It should only take a few minutes.

He waited until she was in the cart. He drove towards the vinards pointing out certain places to her.

Charles: We'll stop for a better look on the way back.

He drove to the vinard and parked infront of the building. He smiled as he grabbed the papers.

Charles: Come on inside.

He smiled softly at her.

Charles: I have to have a few papers signed by a new employee. It'll only take a few minutes. You look around and I'll be right back.

Charles had heard the commotion and rushed out. He saw Tempest and smiled seeing what she did.

He walked over and crouched down.

Charles: Thank you.

He watched her and frowned.

Charles: Are you okay?

He nodded.

Charles: I can show you the estate tomorrow. We have time before your classes start next week.

He reached out and squeezed her hand softly.

Charles: It is okay. I'm not upset with you. I promise. I'm going to be busy this afternoon working to find the person who shot Angela.

He shook his head.

Charles: Thank you. You took care of Angela. The family owes you yet again.

He leaned down and kissed her softly.

Charles: You get some sleep. I'll bring you up some lunch in a bit.

Charles went out talking to the police then headed inside to do some work. He had plenty of paperwork that needed done. He also had a few new things to add to his agenda now after the shooting.

He spent an hour talking with the head of security for the estate.

At lunch time he took a tray up to Tempest's room.

He sat the tray of food down and smiled.

Charles: Everything okay at home?

He sat on the edge of the bed.

Charles: I'm glad it wasn't you. Wish it wasn't anybody.

He smiled softly.

Charles: They are reviewing the security cameras hoping they can get a good look at the guy.

He shook his head.

Charles: He shot a member of the family. He's not going to be stupid enough to risk it again.

He put his finger under her chin and smiled softly at her.

Charles: I will not let him get to you.

He sighed and moved his finger.

Charles: Nobody else is going to get hurt. I won't allow it.

He looked over at her.

charles: You don't believe that I can protect you, do you?

He leaned toward her kissing her softly.

Charles: I'm not going to get hurt. I promise.

He smiled and pointed to the tray.

Charles: Lunch.

He nodded.

Charles: I had plans to. Would you like me to help you to the table?

He walked with her to the table in her room.

Charles: It's a light lunch since dinner is in a few hours.

He watched her and smiled softly.

Charles: The girl you saved is my niece. She still lives here with her mother.

He smiled softly at her.

Charles: My sister would like to thank you personally later. Right now she is spending the day with her daughter.

He smiled.

Charles: She knows that you helped her daughter. She just doesn't know how. I saw though. I won't spill the beans.

He leaned toward her and kissed her softly.

Charles: Lunch.

He took a small drink of his juice and smiled.

Charles: Why did you decide to come here?

He nodded remember those days.

Charles: Uncle Simon kept her pretty busy in their room. I'm surprised she had time to take pictures.

He frowned and looked at her.

Charles: They broke up? I just talked to him yesterday. He said they were still together and very happy.
