He looked at the article and frowned.

Charles: Simon wouldn't say these things. He adores her.

He frowned again.

Charles: There's got to be more that we don't know. Simon wouldn't do this.

He nodded.

Charles: Maybe the two of us can fix it up.

He smiled and nodded.

Charles: I'll see what I can do to get Uncle Simon over here.

He smiled softly at her.

Charles: We'll figure it out.

He kissed her softly again.

Charles: Have faith, darling.

He gently pulled her into his lap.

Charles: You aren't stopping me from kissing you anymore.

He smiled softly.

Charles: Good. I really enjoy kissing you.

He grinned and kissed her again.

Charles: Expect it often.

He smiled softly at her then sighed.

Charles: I need to get back to work.

He lifted her gently in his arms and carried her to the bed. He laid her softly on the bed and kissed her tenderly.

Charles: You resy. I will be back in a few hours.

He smiled and kissed her softly.

Charles: No holes. I promise.

He left her room and went down to her office. He made some phone calls and found out that his uncle and aunt would be arriving the next morning. He wasn't going to let Tempest know. It would be a pleasant surprise for her.

He smiled as he finished his work for the day. He went upstairs to get ready for dinner and couldn't get the smile off his face.

Once he was dressed he went to her room. He tapped softly then went inside.

Charles: Tempest. It's time to wake up, love.

He kissed her softly.

Charles: No holes. Just as promised.

He went out to the hall to wait for her. He sat on the bench outside the door and smiled at the servants rushing around to get the upstairs ready for the night.

He looked at her and smiled.

Charles: You look beautiful.

He smiled softly at her.

Charles: It will be just the four of us today. Grandmother is dining with a friend tonight.

He smiled as they walked together.

Charles: There's a little girl who is really excited to see you.

He led her into the dining room and smiled when Angela ran over to them. He watched his niece hug her and smiled bigger.

Angela: Thank you, Miss Sweet.

Charles picked up his niece and tossed her over his shoulder as they continued to the table. He put her down in her chair and smiled.

Charles: It's a good thing your Great Grandmother isn't here. You know how she frowns on such displays at dinner time.

Once his sister and niece had left the table he headed up the stairs to Tempest's room.

Charles: You okay?

He smiled softly.

Charles: Great. We have a very busy week coming up. Some guests will be arriving in the morning.

He shook his head and smiled.

Charles: Some some family.

He smiled softly at her.

Charles: How would you like to spend your evening?

He smiled and held his hand out to her.

Charles: Would you like to take a walk in the garden with me?

He smiled as he walked down the stairs with her.

Charles: We have one of the largest and oldest rose gardens in the world. For three hundred years now, every Granger child has had a rose bush planted in this guarden at their birth. There are plaques at the foot of each bush listing the name of the person it was planted for, the birth date, and death date if they have already departed this world for the next.

He smiled softly.

Charles: Each person who has married into the family has also been given a bush. The bushes that are for the births are created as a hybrid of the father's and mother's bushes.

He stopped beside one of the bushes that was covered in white roses with bright orange tips.

Charles: This is my bush. My brother's and sisters bushes are very similar.

He smiled and slid his arm around her waist.

Charles: If we follow the path of the rest of our families, you will have a bush here near mine.

He nodded and smiled.

Charles: Yes, they do. I understand it though. You Sweet women have something special about you that attracts us Granger men.

He kissed her softly.

Charles: Maybe it's both.

He pulled her closer as the kiss deepened.

Charles: I think the gardener will be planting a new rose bush sometime in the near future.

He nodded and smiled softly.

Charles: You get to pick the bush yourself.

He smiled softly at her.

Charles: I think a light pink rose suits you.

His smile got even larger.

Charles: Somehow I knew that.

He kissed her tenderly.

Charles: I must be. i got you.

He smiled softly as he stopped infront of his own door.

Charles: Would you like to come into my rooms?

He followed her into his suite and smiled as he watched her.

Charles: Have a seat.

He got them both some juice and smiled as he handed her a glass then sat down.

Charles: Have you enjoyed your stay so far?

He smiled and nodded.

Charles: Good. I would like for you to enjoy your stay here.

He kissed her softly.

Charles: That is perfectly fine with me.

He smiled when she said that.

Charles: I love you, Jaxon.

He looked at her and smiled softly.

Charles: I love your name also.

He smiled softly at her.

Charles: It's different. I like different.

He kissed her softly.

Charles: So what would you like to do now?

He thought about it then looked at her.

Charles: You any good with computers?

He pulled out his laptop and smiled.

Charles: Think you can help me hook this up to the projection screen so we can watch a movie?
