She didn't believe him, but just made sure he couldn't get in, as she started to leave.

Michelle: Goodnight, Neil.

She said as she walked way from the door and headed upstairs.

She didn't say anything as she just rolled her eyes as she walked into her room, she stopped a moment as she then smirked a bit seeing Pat sitting in her chair.

Michelle: You are looking pretty good for a dead guy.

She teased a bit walking in as she looked at Neil's brother.

Just as quick as he was gone, Neil appeared in the room looking at her , as she just stood there with her arms crossed.

Michelle: You are so immature, Neil. .

She looked at him as she just rolled her eyes a bit.

Michelle: Just go away.

She said as she didn't want to deal with him, she had only been out of the hospital for a few hours, she was tired.  And still obviously coming off the pain meds from the hospital..

If she had been in her right mind , she would of told him to leave anyways but she just nodded as she crawled into bed.

Michelle: Fine, whatever.

She said as she just yawned a bit.

She shook her head as she was thinking about it.

Michelle: No thank you..

She said half asleep now.

She nodded a bit.

Michelle: You're welcome.

When morning finally came she had to push at him to get him off her as he had passed out, and spread out pretty good.

Michelle: Neil, wake up.

She said as she heard him groan from his hang over as he opened his eyes looking around.

Michelle: Thank you.

She said when he moved enough so she could get up.

Michelle walked slowly to the bathroom as she was a little sore but nothing bad.

Michelle: You're welcome.

She said as she went in there as she started to fill the tub up, as she pulled a couple towels out , and then stripped down and climbed in the tub..

Michelle heard what he said as she was thinking about it.

Michelle: He isn't dead..

She paused as he was quiet.

Michelle: Nikita called last night while you were passed out.  He's in ICU, but he's alive.

She said letting him know..

She thought about it.

Michelle: No, she didn't say much.  Just wanted you to stay safe, and out of trouble until things are figured out.

Neil had found out at the police station that it was likely that who ever had attacked Pat, was also involved with the attack on Michelle that took place a few days before.  Which was why they were wanting to really talk to Neil, knowing his rocky relationship with Michelle, but Neil was soon cleared and allowed to leave.

She was working on a paper when she heard her phone as she picked it up as she looked at the message.  She knew she really shouldn't, with Pat not around he probably wasn't taking his meds.

Michelle: I can't right now, working on school work.

She looked at the message as she was thinking about it, as she was debating it.  She had been told to not go out.

Michelle: I'm not suppose to leave.

She thought about it.

Michelle: I'm not worried about you doing anything, I did let you spend the night after all... Come on over.

She texted back.

She read his text message.

Michelle: Okay.

She texted back.

She opened the door as she let him in.

Michelle: It's okay.

She said as she watched him walk in, as she closed the door behind them.  She watched him set the food down as she sat down as she had plates already out as she was looking at him.

Michelle: What did you want to talk about?.

Michelle nodded as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Michelle: Yes, I'm fine...

She said as she wasn't really wanting to talk about it.

She looked at him when he said that.

Michelle: But you have... You have attacked me in the past.

She said as she was looking at him.

Michelle: But, I also know this time it wasn't you..

She paused.

Michelle: It was Pat.. He accidently left his DNA on the way out.

She said as the cops had filled her in...

Michelle: They think it may have been one of my family members, but my brother isn't in the area, and my sisters don't know anything about it...

She said honestly..

She didn't think so.

Michelle: I don't think so, I haven't told anyone, and the cops had just found out and thought maybe that I went and told family , but I didn't.. So it could be totally unrelated..

She said not knowing for sure..

She looked at him when he said that.

Michelle: What, what's going on?

Michelle: So you are the one who did that to Pat?   but if that is true, why aren't you injured?

She looked at him, there wasn't any bruises or anything on him, it didn't make since.

Michelle: Oh, I see.

She said as she was thinking about it.

She nodded as she looked at him as she was thinking about it... Knowing it was probably a good idea.

Michelle: Probably a good idea, just tell them everything that happened, I'm sure it'll be alright.

She said as she was thinking about it.  She watched him get up and then head out as she sat there thinking about it all... It was all a huge mess now..

She walked over opening the door.

Michelle: Hey

She looked at him when he said that as she was thinking about it.

Michelle: Well that sounds like you'll be okay then.

She said as she was thinking about it.

Michelle: Nikita called, she said that Pat is awake.  He was also asking for you, and wanted to make sure you were alright.

She said letting him know.

Michelle: Up to you, but Nikita said he sounded worried, not mad.

She said honestly, going by what she had been told.

She looked at him when he said that as she nodded her head thinking about it, as it was up to him, she was just wanting to let him know what was going on.

Michelle: Okay.

Michelle: You're welcome.

She looked at him when he said that.

Michelle: Neil, I'm leaving in the morning.  My brother is coming to get me.

She nodded when he said that as she did have a bit more to pack before her brother got her.

Michelle: Yeah.

She said as she walked him to the door.

She didn't believe in happiness anymore, too much had happened, to make her even think she would ever be happy.

Michelle: Goodbye , Neil.

She watched him leave as she then closed the door.  She then went heading upstairs to finishing packing so she would be ready by tomorrow.

While Michelle was dealing with her things, Kandi gave her space as she was working with her professor in his office.

Kandi: That is the last paper, sir.

She said as she was helping him grade papers as she didn't have much else to do, and she was his teacher assistant anyways...

She nodded as she smiled warmly.

Kandi: Not a problem.

She said as she sat back a bit waiting to see if he had anything else for her to do..

He looked at the stack of work he still had to do and sighed.

"Would you mind emailing the project details to everybody for me?"

She nodded as she didn't mind as she went on the computer and went to work, sending out what he was wanting, and making sure it was sent out to everyone who was suppose to have it.

He looked over the top folder on the stack and frowned.

"Kandi, do you know much about research?"

She looked over at him when he asked.

Kandi: what do you mean?

She asked waiting to hear what he was talking about.

He showed her what he had on his desk.

"I need a fact checker. Someone to verify the information."

She nodded as she knew what he was wanting now as she could do that as she took the stack that he handed her as she went working on the papers for him, checking out the information, making sure they were correct, and writing down the ones that needed to be corrected.

He sat down with his laptop working on the article he was working on.

"I need about twenty more of you, Kandi."

She laughed a bit when he said that as she was thinking about it.

Kandi: Too bad I'm one of a kind.

She joked.

He smiled when she said that.

"Such a shame too."

She laughed when he said that as she was thinking about it.

Kandi: You say that now, but I've been told I'm quite the handful.

she teased.

He grinned when she said that and thought about their many nights they had spent together.

"You definitely are, but I wouldn't change you for anything. I love you exactly how you are."

She laughed seeing the look on his face as she knew where his mind went.

Kandi: Come on, teacher man, back to work... Don't get distracted now.

She teased looking at him as she was thinking about it.

He nodded knowing she was right.

"It can wait until we get home."

He turned his attention back to his work, but was horny as hell.

Kandi went back tot he laptop to work on what he had he doing as she was going thru all the papers, as she was making sure the information was right, checking the research as it wasn't too bad, just a bit time consuming.  It was about 3 am before she let out a yawn, and went thru the last paper.

He heard her yawn and looked up. He noticed what time it was and frowned.

"I'm sorry, Kandi. We'll head home so you can get some sleep."

Kandi looked over at him as she didn't mind.

Kandi: It's alright, finish what you need too.

She said as she was thinking about it.

He shook his head and saved the work. He closed the laptop then stood up walking over to her.

"Come on. Let's go home."

She nodded as she closed her laptop up and then got up as she grabbed her things as they went heading out.

He held the car door for her before he got in.

"I'm sorry I lost track of time, love."

She didn't mind it as she was thinking about it.

Kandi: It is alright, it was stuff that was needing to get done.

She said as she got in the car.

He drove the short distance to the house and pulled into the garage. Once the car was off, he unlocked the house door then went back and lifted her into his arms and carried her inside and straight to their bedroom.

"Need me to tuck you in?"

She looked up at him.

Kandi: I need to get out of my work clothes.

She laughed a bit.  Not wanting to sleep in her clothes.
