He jumped up and went after her. He grabbed her arm and pulled her back into the office.

"At least let me talk before you go running out of here."

He saw the look on her face.

"It happened while you were gone. When everybody thought that you were dead. At least that is when it started. She was there for me when I needed someone, Jessie."

He sighed and let her go. He knew she needed time to process everything and think. Hell, he didn't know what she had been going through while she was gone. Everybody thought that she was dead. He was going through his own hell without her. But yeah, sure. Put everything on him.

He sat back down at his desk and sighed.

He looked at his phone and sighed. He picked it up and called Jessie. He got her voicemail.

"Darling, I just wanted to make sure you are okay. You were pretty upset when you left. Please call me or text me so I know you are safe somewhere. I love you."

He talked to the girl he was waiting to hear from then headed home. He saw that Jessie wasn't there. He called her sisters hoping that one of them would know where she was. It was Destiny who he was finally able to talk to.

"I fucked up, Destiny. I will admit it."

He sighed before he thanked her for not yelling at him like some of the others had. He called the hospital just to check that she wasn't there.

Finally he grabbed his keys and decided to drive around and see if he could find her. He just needed to know that she was safe somewhere.

Michael finally found her car at a hotel. He got her room number and knocked lightly on the door.

"Jessie, please open the door."

He looked at her and felt terrible. He could see how upset she was.

"Can we talk? Please?"

He stepped into the room and saw her move away from him.

"I'm sorry, Jessie. I truly am. If I had thought at all that you had still been alive, I never would have turned to someone else. I saw the body though. Everybody thought that it was you."

He shook his head.

"It's not like that. I tried to break things off with her. I swear I did."

He looked at her almost in tears.

"Please, Jessie. Give me another chance. I love you. I need you, Jessie."

He nodded understanding.

"Okay. I'll move back to Dad's house. You can have our place."

He shook his head.

"The house isn't home without you. And if you are worried that I was with her at the house, I never was. I would never do that."

He headed for the door.

"I've said I'm sorry. I would say it a million times if it would get you back."

He saw the way she was looking at him.

"Please remember that I love you, Jessie. Always have. Always will."

Christina was walking that way heading when she heard the noise in the room she peeked in the window, gasping shocked seeing she had been set up... This was a big mess she wasn't even pregnant just a big mistake, she hadn't wanted to cause him his marriage, but she didn't know his wife was alive, and things had gotten pretty deep but she had stayed away just like she said she would, she shook her head seeing she had been set up as she just turned putting her hood over her head and started to leave.

Michael was leaving Jessie's room when he saw Christina.

"Why are you here?"

She jumped a bit shocked to see him as she backed up ab it.

Christina: Nothing, leaving, I was tricked into coming.

She said as she was just walking off so he wouldn't have to talk to her, he made it more than clear that she was nothing but a mistake he wanted to forget about..

He grabbed her arm pulling her with him.

"We need to talk."

He led her to the parking lot.

"I don't know what kind of game all of this has been to you, but my wife just left me because of you."

She winced a bit when he grabbed her like that as she shook her head.

Christina: Screw you, I never thought it was a game.

She said hurt.

Christina; Just let me go, I'm leaving, I already have everything packed, I'm going to be long gone.

She said not wanting to be here anymore..

He shook his head.

"You aren't going anywhere. I talked to the doctor. That kid you are carrying is mine. You aren't taking it anywhere without my say so."

She pushed him away holding up the paper work.

Christina: I'm not pregnant, You didn't knock me up, but then again, I know how much you like your students.

She said as she wasn't going to stick around, she had no reason to.

He couldn't help laughing at the paper work in her hand.

"That paper work is fake. Your little friends paid the doctor to tell you that you aren't pregnant. Little did they know, the doctor is my brother. He told me the truth."

She frowned shaking her head not believing that... They wouldn't do that, why would they... She just shook her head.

Christina: No they wouldn't do that..

She said thinking about it, not sure what to say or what to do as she was holding the paper in her hand.

He led her to his truck.

"Get in. We are going to the hospital. You can take the test over. This time an unbiased doctor not connected to any of us."

She thought about it.

Christina: I'll drive myself,

She said pointing to her car, not wanting to leave it, or really be alone with him in his car, as she knew that things were bad enough, she sighed as she got into her car, she buckled up as she looked at the paper as she didn't know what to think, she didn't want to be pregnant, the man couldn't even stand her anymore, she finally started her car up as she headed to the clinic.

He followed her in his car. He went inside with her and waited while she took the test again. He was right there when the doctor told her that she was indeed pregnant.

She sighed hearing that as she was sitting there thinking about it, she didn't want this, she wanted to get far away, she just stood up.

Christina: I need some time alone.

She said walking out, he grabbed her.

Christina: Don't worry I'm not leaving, just going home.

She said pushing him away as she walked out heading to her car, with tears in her eyes..

He followed her to the parking lot.

"Christina, wait a minute."

He saw her stop by her car.

"I am sorry. I know this isn't what either of us wanted or expected. Even though my life is so fucked up right now, I will still be here for you and the baby. I'll make sure you have everything you need."

She was thinking about it a bit as she wasn't sure what she needed to do, she had hoped to just be able to leave , but now she couldn't, she was hurt that she had been lied to from the start she didn't know what to do.

Christina: I won't keep you from the babies life, but I wont' bother you either... I know that you wanted me to just disappear and I did try, but I didn't expect to be pregnant,

She sighed thinking about it, she had been careful too, she didn't think this would happen, hell she didn't even know how, she had been on the pill and he had worn protection... .

He shook his head.

"I never wanted you to disappear. I actually do care about you."

He thought about everything and sighed.

"Everything is so fucked up. I thought Jessie was dead. You gave me the comfort I was needing. I was able to talk to you about how I was feeling."

He reached up and pushed her hair out of her eyes.

"I don't regret my time with you."

She looked at him as she was thinking about it, not really all that sure what to do, as she nodded her head a bit.

Christina: Everything is such a big mess..

He nodded agreeing.

"I will be here for you and our baby. But I am also going to do what I can to save my marriage."

She nodded understanding.

Christina: I wont' get in the way.

He reached out and took her hand in his.

"Everything is going to work out the way it is supposed to be. We are only here to travel the path that fate gives us. Maybe my marriage can be fixed, maybe not. Nobody knows."

He smiled softly at her.

"But you will always have me to lean on if you need me. I won't abandon you and the baby."

She was thinking about it..

Christina: I have to be strong, I shouldn't depend on you, I need to take care of myself, and you need to fix your marriage, I'm not going to get in the way of that... After the baby is born, then we can work out how things will work, but for now, I won't get in the middle of your business..

He pulled her into his arms and hugged her.

"You will be okay. I know you will. And if you need anything..."

She leaned against him a moment, then moved back some.

Christina: Thank you.

She said as she opened her car door, knowing it was best for her to leave before anyone saw them together and got the wrong idea..

He watched her drive away then went back to the hotel. He needed to talk to Jessie.

He knocked on the door to her room.

"Jessie. We need to talk."

Christina sighed as she drove back home, she got out of the car as she was just walking up the porch, she sighed ab it as she was just standing there on the porch digging in her pocket for her key, not sure what she was going to do, her life was a big mess..

She looked up at him a bit shocked he was there as she shook her head.

Christina: No sorry, I forgot..

She said as she had forgotten he was coming over ot study..

She shook her head as she was thinking about it.

Christina: Can we study another night, I'm really not feeling all that well..

She said as she wasn't up to studying tonight.

She shook her head knowing she wasn't allowed to talk about it.

Christina: Nothing, I just dont' feel good..

She looked at him when he said that as she shook her head, it had nothing to do with trust, it was a threat she had already been warned nto to say anything..

Christina: It's not like that... I just can't...

She said as she sighed going inside, she had already made a huge mess of everything else, she was pregnant, those two she thought where friends were out to get her.. So what else was she suppose to do right now..

She was thinking about it..

Christina: If Kandi or the professor calls or shows up, I'm not here, and don't let them in.

She said simply afraid of them now, knowing they were up to no good.

She leaned against him as it felt good to have the support right now as she buried her face in his chest as she was thinking about everything.

Christina: Thank you.

She was a bit shocked when he said that, he had never really talked like that before as she was standing there thinking about it for a moment before she finally told him.

Christina: I'm pregnant..

She said sadly as she thought about all that was happening as she told him how Kandi and Patrick where plotting on kidnapping her, but she had found out, and how Mr. granger was the father, it had been a big mess she had just wanted to pull away from it all but now she was pregnant and she couldn't..

She leaned against him as she didn't feel like she would get through anything but she would try..

Christina: I don't know what to do...

She nodded as she told him what happened there as she had first been told she wasn't pregnant, then he made her go to a different place and get retested and she found out she was.. She then thought of something as she thought about there one night stand when they both had too much to drink..

Christina: The baby could be yours... I mean the timing and all ,..

She just nodded a bit as she was thinking about it, if it wasn't Mr. Grangers then maybe everyone would leave her alone.. She sighed a bit as she felt her life was such a mess right now..

She nodded a bit as she did feel warned down.

Christina: Thank you

She laid there thinking about it.

Christina: Okay..

She smiled a little as she looked at him as she was glad he was there.

Christina: Thank you.

She said laying there, she did doze off after a bit, woke up enough to eat a little, as he then helped her upstairs she soaked for an hour ten he put her in bed...

The next day he went with her to the doctors as he was wanting to know who the father is... she was still all stressed about this hole thing, but when he found out he was the father he was actually smiling, as it made him happy.

She thought about it, as she nodded, knowing that seeing him alone wasn't a good idea, seeing as he was wanting to fix his marriage.

Christina: Please

She looked at him when he said that.

Christina: I couldn't tell you, I was afraid with all the threats from the other professor, but now that the baby isn't his, I don't have to worry about anything, I can just get away from all that.

She said thinking about it as he nodded his head as they went heading to talk to Michael, they went to the school where they were in his office as she told him the news about the baby and showed him the paper work so he would see the truth...

He looked at the paper and saw that it was his brother who did the test.

"I hope you understand that I want to call my brother and make sure? After what happened yesterday with the false test, I really want to be certain."

She nodded not shocked he said that as she was thinking about it.

Christina: I understand, but no one knew I was going so there would be no reason for them to be sneaky, and your brother didn't know me, so he had no idea what was going on, and I didn't say anything.

She said honestly as she had kept the secret, too scared really not too, only Jack knew the truth...

He listened and nodded.

"What I said before still stands. If you need anything, please let me know. I do care about you, Christina."

She looked at him when he said that.

Christina: Once you find the truth, its best if we just not have anything to do with each other, I know you want to fix your marriage, and you can't with me around..

He thought about the things that Jessie had said to him and shook his head.

"My marriage is over. Jessie wants nothing to do with me anymore. Said she won't even show up to family events if I'm going to be there."

He shrugged.

"After this semester, I'm done here. I'm going home to England and making a fresh start."

He had planned to stay for Christina and the baby, but now that he knew it wasn't his, he could leave. Nothing was holding him here.

She nodded a bit as she looked at him thinking about it.

Christina: Okay..

He looked at her and smiled softly.

"I'll just be a phone call away if you need me. And if you ever take a trip to London, you have a free place to stay."

He looked at Jack.

"Both of you do."

He hugged Christina.

"You take care of yourself and that baby. Let Jack spoil you right now. You deserve it."
