Michael was in the office waiting to hear from her. She had a doctor appointment today and was going to find out if she was pregnant or not. She was really hoping for not, because that could really mess things up between him and Jessie if she was. If Jessie found out that he had an affair with one of the students, she would divorce him in a second.

He heard the knock on the office door.

"Come in."

He called back and got her voice mail. He left her a message telling her what he wanted her to know since she wouldn't talk to him.
"Jessie, I wanted to let you know that the baby isn't mine. She had a paternity test done and her roommate is the baby's father. I know it doesn't make up for what I did, and I'm sorry. I really wish you could see things from my side of all of this. But since you can't, or won't try... Bye Jessie."
He hung up the phone and grabbed his jacket. He needed a nice long drive. Who knew where he would end up?

Ariel was enjoying some quiet time on the beach. She saw Jessie and smiled.
"Hey. One of my favorite sister-in-laws."
She hugged Jessie.
"I am so happy you are back. Michael was so sad and depressed without you."

She shook her head.
"Please, Jessie. Give him another chance. It wasn't his fault. When he was told that you were dead, he slipped into a very deep depression. We were all scared that we would lose him too."
She thought about how bad it had been for awhile.
"I asked Jacob to help him. He went to his brother and got some drug the guy has been working on. He drugged both Michael and some girl from the school. He wasn't able to stay away from her, Jessie. No matter how much he wanted or tried to."
Ariel didn't know about the other two who had found out about Michael and Christina and had their own little plans for the two.

Ariel was really worried now. Hearing that her and Michael had split up because of her wanting him to not be so sad...this was all her fault.

He held up the keys to the house and his truck.
"The truck will be parked in long term parking at the airport. You can pick it up there. I was going to stay until the end of the semester, but I can't stay here without you. It hurts too damn much."

Before she could move her legs started to give out as eh moved quick grabbing her as she held onto him, she wanted to say something, but just burst into tears as she leaned against him holding on to him..

He heard the doorbell and sighed.
"Probably Lucas. I'll be right back, darling."
He slipped out of bed and went to answer the door. He got Jessie's things and her car keys from Lucas and thanked his brother. He went back to the bedroom and undressed before he slipped into bed. 
He smiled when he saw that Jessie was sleeping. 
"Sleep well, my love."
He smiled when she moved closer and kissed his chest before snuggling with him.
