He smiled softly as he held her close to him.

"Me too. I really like you and would hate to have to break up with you to make him happy."

He kissed her softly.

"I'm not sure I would have been able to do it."

Aurora looked up at him as she was thinking about it.

Aurora: Well at least now you know it's something we don't have to worry about..

He nodded and smiled before lowering his head and kissing her softly.

"I'm crazy about you."

She kissed him back, smiling when she heard what he said.

Aurora: I'm crazy about you, too. .

He spent several minutes kissing her then sighed and rested his chin on the top of her head.

"Need to calm down. My son is in the next room. Wouldn't want him to find us fucking on the counter."

Aurora shook her head as she blushed a bit not wanting anything like that to happen.

Aurora: No, so you just stand over there.

She laughed soflty as she pushed him back gently as she finished cleaning up as they went back into the living room where Luc was on the phone, he looked up at his dad.

Luc: Can I go over to Lacy's house.. Her brothers are having a small party, and said she could invite a few people... There will be adults there.

He asked, knowing it was a weekend.

He thought about it then nodded.

"Midnight tonight, please. We have things to do in the morning."

He looked at his son.

"Do you need..."

He saw his son shake his head and turn red. He knew that it was something that wouldn't normally embarrass Luc if they were alone.

"Have fun, son. Love you."

He smiled when Luc left. Seemed that Luc already knew it would be okay because the girls brother had a car outside for him already.

Damion looked at Aurora and shrugged.

"I know he's old enough for sex. I know that if he wants to do it, I can't really stop him. I like to make sure he's properly equipped."

Aurora looked at him when he said that as she was thinking about it, she figured it wasn't a worry for now, at least not tonight.

Aurora: I think tonight will be okay, seeing as all the Spring brothers will be there with them.

She said putting him at ease a bit, and from what she had learned of the girl he was really trying to get to know her better but hadn't had much time to realy talk to her, so she was hoping tonight would be a good night for him. .

He nodded and smiled softly at Aurora.

"Thank you for dinner. It was delicious."

She smiled softly as she looked at him. 

Aurora: You're welcome, thank you for coming over, it was nice to have you both here for dinner. .

He kissed her softly.

"I enjoyed the company as much as the food."

She smiled warmly as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Aurora: Good, I'm glad.

He kissed her again then smiled.

"Calm down, old man. Slow."

He moved slightly away from her and grinned.

Aurora looked at him when he said that as she laughed softly.

Aurora: You'll be alright. 

She teased as she looked at him. .

He nodded and smiled.

"I've spent many nights alone. Tonight won't be any different."

Aurora nodded as she looked at him as she was thinking about it, as she knew he would be alright.

Aurora: You're strong, i know you'll be fine. 

She giggled a bit teasing some more as they sat down on the couch a bit, just talking some, getting to know each other.

Aurora: Yeah i'm a professor over at the campus. Going on my second year.

She said as he was a bit surprised as he actually never knew what she did, and explained a bit why she was so willing to help Luc, being a teacher she had wanted to see him do better. .

He smiled as he listened to her.

"Do you enjoy teaching?"

Aurora nodded as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Aurora: I love it.

She said as she was thinking about it..

He was glad she found something she enjoyed doing.

"I'm the same way about my job. I'm a transplant surgeon at the hospital. I love that I get to give people a second chance at life."

Aurora listened to him as she nodded her head, liking what he did as she thought it was a good thing to do.

Aurora: That is nice.. .

"You probably know my twin brother."

He saw her nod.

"I know he's pretty cozy with one of your sisters."

She nodded as she knew David, had seen him a few times.

Aurora: Yes, I've meant David a few times.

She said smiling warmly as she was thinking about it.. .

He moved a little loser to her and smiled. He slid his arm around her shoulders.

"I'm not as nice as David is."

She looked at him when he said that as she didn't believe that.

Aurora: I dont' beleive that, I've seen David pretty bad, when him and Hope are fighting for sure, I dont' think you can top that.

She laughed a bit thinking about it..

He looked her in the eyes.

"I killed a man. Not on the operating table either."

Aurora looked at him when he said that. 

Aurora: What happened?

She asked curious .

He told her about a man high on crack breaking into their house and holding a knife on Luc.

"I shot the guy. He bled to death before the police could get there."

Aurora looked at him when he told her htat.

Aurora: You were defending your son and your home, that isn't evil, or mean.

She said as she thought about it.

He nodded and shrugged.

"I was suspended from work until the police did their investigation. Could have lost my job for it."

He thought about it a moment.

"I would do it again if someone threatened Luc."

She nodded as she understood that and didn't hold anything against him as she was thinking about it, she didn't like to hear Luc was in danger, it was sad, and she was glad that he had saved not just his son but in the long run, Aurora knew that he saved himself as well.

Aurora: I'm glad that you both are safe and sound.

She said thinking about it as she knew there was always risks... She took them with just being who she was, being a young professor at a college campus, she heard it all.

He kissed her softly.

"I would do the same to save you."

Aurora kissed him back as she looked at him thinking about it.

Aurora: I hope it is something that you never have to do.

She said as she leaned against him a bit as she was thinking about it.. .

He nodded agreeing.

"I think it's enough just to know I would do it."

He smiled at her when she nodded.

"I'm glad we have this evening together. Just us. Gives us more time to talk and get to know each other."

Aurora nodded as she liked this, she liked talking with him to build there relationship so they could bound.

Aurora: It is nice.

He sighed when his phone rang thinking it was the hospital calling him in. He smiled when he saw it was Luc.

"Hey. Everything okay?"

He talked to his son a few minutes then hung up.

"He was just checking in.  When he's out, he'll usually call me every couple hours just to let me know where he is and that he's alright."

Aurora smiled warmly when he said that as she was thinking about it, as she was glad that he was so respoinisble. 

Aurora: That's good.

She said smiling warmly .

He put the phone in his pocket and smiled.

"It sounded like he was enjoying himself."

He looked at Aurora then kissed her lightly.

"So am I."

Luc nodded and smiled.

"Having a lot of fun. Thank you for inviting me."

"You do know I'm only 16, right? I graduate high school in May. I've been taking a few college classes through a program offered at my school."

He was glad to hear that. He didn't want her or her brothers to get into trouble.

"I may have to change one of my classes. I think my father is dating the professor."

He pointed to a guitar in the corner.

"Is that one of your brother's?"

He walked over and picked it up.

"Do you think he would mind?"

He took her hand and led her to a chair. He sat in one nearby and smiled as he started to play the guitar. He looked at her and saw her smiling. That gave him a bit more confidence as he started to sing as he played.

He shook his head.

"I'm not that good. It's just something I play around with a little bit."

"I'm not comfortable singing around people. My father has never heard me. You are the first."

He played another song for her and smiled when he finished. He put the guitar back then sat beside her again.

"Please don't tell anybody that I sing or play. I'm not ready for people to know yet."

He smiled and kissed her cheek.

He smiled at her then looked around.

"What would you like to do now?"

He nodded and followed her to the car.

"Very nice."

He ran his hand over the hood and smiled.

"I'm taking my driving test next week. Then I'll be able to start driving."

Damion smiled when he saw them pull in.

"I was just about to call and see if you needed me to pick you up."

He looked at Lacy.

"Thank you for bringing him home. You must be Lacy."

Luc waited until his dad went back inside then looked at Lacy.

"Thanks for tonight. I had a lot of fun."

He leaned toward her and kissed her cheek.

Luc went into the house where he knew his dad was waiting to hear how things went. After talking to his dad, he headed to bed.

By the time Monday came along, there was an empty seat at school where Luc usually sat.

Luc waited until he knew she was between classes and sent her a text letting her know that he was in the emergency room but would be at school the next day. He didn't want her to worry about him not being there.

He read the text then sent one back.

"Waiting for x-rays. May have broken arm."

He thought about it then sent her a message.

"Notes for class would be helpful."

He was just sending "okay" back in a message when Dr. Madison came into the room. The arm was indeed broken.  He got it in the cast then his aunt drove him home. She was going to stay with him until his dad was off work.

He sent Lacy a text.

"I'm home."

Since his aunt was in the kitchen, Luc answered the door. He smiled when he saw Lacy. He stepped back letting her in.

"Aunt Chrysten is in the kitchen making snacks. Would you like something to drink?"

He shrugged.

"Fine right now. Just took a pain pill."

He led her to the kitchen and introduced her to his aunt.

"We have soda, juice, and water."

He smiled and looked at her.

"Thank you, Lacy. Tell your brother that I said thanks also."

He looked at the notes.

"I'll be back in class tomorrow. Thankfully it was my left arm I broke. I'll still be able to do the homework."

He thought about missing school.

"I have two tests to make up at the high school tomorrow. History and Advanced Chem."

"The teachers are pretty cool. My history teacher is my uncle so I know he'll understand. He was actually there when I broke my arm."

He looked at the cast on his arm and thought about how it happened.

"Playing football with my uncles and cousins at my grandpa's house yesterday."

He shrugged.

"It's no big deal. Once the cast is off, I'll be back in there playing again."
